NO RALLY 10/28

WE WILL NOT TOLERATE INTOLERANCE
EQUALITY FOR ALL!!

First of all, thanks so much to all of you who have reached out in support our scheduled counter-action next week.  This group and their message of hatred and self-loathing is an outrage to us all.

After speaking with the administration at Dickenson High School, we feel extremely confident that our presence at this event is unnecessary.  While we stand in opposition to their message, we can assure the community that Jersey City's young people will be protected from exposure to the planned demonstration.

When the LGBT leadership of Jersey City came together and decided to take action, the goal was to stand with our city's young people in the face of this vile hatred.  With the plan laid out in consultation with LGBT leaders and approved by both the school's administration and the dedicated individuals of the Jersey City Police Department; we now feel our presence will bring unnecessary validation to a very small group whose history and reputation bear witness to the fact that they do not warrant our attention.

We are asking all individuals and groups to ignore the scheduled protests so as not to give this group the media attention they so deeply crave.

Hudson Diversity will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.

Thank you all for your dedication and please continue to support the work of Hudson Diversity and the other great LGBT and Allied organization throughout Hudson County and New Jersey.

In unity,
Walt Boraczek, President/Founder
Hudson Diversity Action Council
